Zydan's Mod Log

I decided to take a page from Kevalteam and create a thread dedicated to the mods on my car.

Most of the info you'll see here has been posted in other threads in the past, but now will be combined into one thread along with info from Facebook and any future plans for the car as well.

So subscribe if you like for updates!

First off some pictures when I first purchased the car on July 9th, hard to believe it's only been 6 months since I've had it.

And last, but definitely not least picture when it first came home with my son who loves "The Blue Car"

Name: G37Coupe.jpg
Views: 466
Size: 93.5 KB

I've decided to split this up into posts in case someone wants to ask questions about something specific you don't have to quote this super long first post.
I will be updating it through out the day into completion.

One Eighty Headlights

Before the Coupe I had a 2009 G37 Sedan, and always wanted to do something with the headlights, so the very first mod I did was the headlights.
I got in touch with Alex at onEighty and discussed with him what I wanted and he made it happen, had to ship from Dallas and was about a two week turn around.
Long two weeks after just getting the car, but definitely worth it!

Also at the same time since I already had the bumper off I decided to go ahead and upgrade to the midnight grille as well.

Also updated to all 6000 HID / LED's as well in including LED's in the fog lights.

These pictures were taking first couple of weeks in August.

IPL Side Skirts

Next thing I upgraded were the side skirts, which were a huge improvement over what I had, not to many pics, but here's a before and after.

Ark Exhaust

Next on the list was an Exhaust, I was trying to decide between Ark and Fast Intentions, ended up going with Ark, and not disappointed in the decision in the least.
Only thing is I had ordered the techno tips, and got the burnt tips instead, I called they said they were out of techno tips so gave me an additional discount on top of the sale price they were offering at the time, so ended up being a really good price as well.

My neighbor and I installed it in the garage, first time trying to do this so took a while, about 2 1/2 - 3 hours, had to do some adjustments the next day.
The left side like people say was hanging lower, but as you'll see in the pictures with 2 people, one adjusting height while other tightening bolts can get it about perfect.

Also the brace doesn't fit back on the middle without putting some washers for spacers, Ark said it's really not needed so ended up leaving it off and just putting the bolts back.

Had to go back and re-bolt also a 2nd time because I didn't use the washers correctly the first time...wahhh
It was supposed to be Big washer, insert, then big washer and finally little washer and nut for anyone that doesn't know in the future.

Loving the exhaust, sounds sooooo nice, videos on-line really don't do it justice, has such a nice base to it, and the look from behind is really unbeatable.

First a comparison picture, these first 2 pictures are before height adjustment.

Of course we have to have the full under-body, this was today, I took it to make the adjustments to the heights and fix the washer issue.

IPL Front Bumper

Well you can't have the IPL Sides without the Front Bumper, so that was next on the list, got it from Sewell Infiniti, purchased one of the cheap ones and had it repainted to match, ended up being like $550-$600 total if I recall correctly.

This was about Mid September:

It's amazing at how much the bumper changes the look of the car, loving it!

haha it's our secret, love your headlights by the way, quad is so sexy, I'm going to have to go back and do something like that as well. I think you're the only one running Quad at this time.

On a G37 coupe, one former member had a quad headlights and red quad demon eyes, but he cut the oem back housing in order to make it fit. Still my favorite G37.....
I am the only one running CF housing with Quad headlights without touching the oem back housing. 180Custom was on it but got too busy with other mods, so never happened. And will hurt your pocket. How much you paid for your current headlights?

Dropped on Eibachs

Next was the ever needed drop, I couldn't tell you how many response I got with my threads that had something to the effect of, "Looks great, needs a drop" lol

This was the first / second week of October.

I was worried about bottoming out with that Ark, but luckily hasn't been a problem here in Texas, definitely improved the look of the car.
Doubt I'll ever go lower, but you never know I guess!

Ride quality is definitely a little stiffer, but you get used to it pretty quick.

These pictures were taking right after it was dropped:

Here's a couple of updated pictures after the springs had time to settle, camera phone, so have to excuse the quality, the drop has even gotten better since I feel.

Yeah I saw that thread 180 had posted a long time ago about trying it out, but nothing ever came of it, what I did ended up costing like $600 I think, maybe $700 with shipping.
I wouldn't mind paying a little extra down the line though to get somthing like what you have.

Also I wanted to ask you about the Adam Rotors, how are you liking them? Trying to decide between those (double slotted) or Slotted SS.

Bluebat roof and rear valance overlay

Next I went for the overlays from blue bat, I ended up taking off the rear valance the next day, in pictures and from a distance it looked great, but up close it just wasn't clean enough for me.
Love the roof though, will be rocking that for a while for sure.

Spoiler / IPL Rear Bumper

Next I was trying to decide what to do with the rear since I didn't like the rear valance, only choices left were Autokitx diffuser or IPL Rear bumper. I acutally purchased the diffuser, but then ended up canceling the next day and deciding to go IPL rear bumper.
However after talking to a friend on here decided that the bumper wouldn't look right without the spoiler so I ordered the spoiler and got it put on.

I didn't really take any pictures of the spoiler on, but earlier this month I ended up finally getting the IPL Rear bumper to complete the Kit, so here's pictures of both.
